Is the hotel pet-friendly?
We do have pet-friendly guestrooms, with a designated pet area on the property. The pet fee is $25 plus tax per stay. There is a limit of 2 dogs not to exceed 50 lbs per room. Cats are also welcome.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our standard cancellation policy is 24-hours prior to arrival to avoid any penalties. Some of our promotional and discounted rates may be non-refundable/non-cancellable. Please contact the front desk if you have any questions regarding the rate you booked.
What are your taxes and fees?
Current taxes are 14.195%. There are no additional fees added to your stay. Taxes are subject to change.
How do I make a change to my existing reservation which I booked through a different website other than the hotel's website?
If you did not book direct on sandmansantarosa.com, you will need to contact the agency or website where the reservation was originally made for any changes.
Hotel Services Amenities
Is breakfast complimentary?
Yes! We offer a complimentary continental featuring Costeaux French Bakery baked goods and Equator Coffee. We also serve fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, hardboiled eggs, and waffles. Breakfast is served Mon-Friday from 6am-9:30am and Sat/Sun 6:30am-10:30am.
Does your hotel have a restaurant?
We do not have a full-service restaurant but do offer beverages & snacks at our Pool House & Bar. There are several restaurants located within a few minutes of the hotel, including downtown Santa Rosa located just 3 miles south. Our front desk hosts are happy to provide you with recommendations.
What time does your bar open?
The Pool House & Bar is open five days a week during the summer months. Hours: Wednesday-Saturday 2pm-8pm; Sunday 10am-6pm. For all other seasons, the Pool House & Bar is open Friday and Saturday 2pm to 8pm and Sunday 10am -6pm. The Pool House & Bar is closed Monday-Thursday but our heated pool and hot tub are still open 9am-10pm daily.
Do you have a pool?
We have a heated outdoor pool and hot tub open daily from 9am-10pm. The pool area is an amenity for the hotel guests and is not open to the public.
Do you have pool day passes?
We do not have day use passes for the pool.
Do you have a fitness center?
Yes! Our fully equipped fitness room features a Peloton exercise bike, a weight set, including kettle bells, and more. The fitness room is open daily 6am-10pm.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
There is complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi available throughout the property.
Do you have laundry facilities?
We do have a coin-operated guest laundry room open daily from 9am-10pm.
Do you have event or meeting space?

Do you offer any summer events?
We have our Summer Nights Concert series that are open to the public. Our events feature music from local artists plus delicious eats from the area's best food trucks. Make sure to follow us on social media to find out upcoming dates.
Do you offer wine hour?
We have a complimentary wine tasting in our lobby on Fridays from 4pm-6pm, May through October. We partner with some of the favorite local wineries.
What kind of outdoor activities do you have on site?
In addition to our outdoor heated pool & hot tub we also have a bocce court and fire tables in our newly renovated outdoor area.
What time can I check in?
Our check in time starts at 4pm. If you want to check in before 4pm please contact the front desk email@example.com or 707-293-2100. We will try our best to accommodate the request based on availability.
What time can I check out?
Our check out time is 12pm. We can offer late check outs based on availability.
Is there room service?
We do not currently offer room service.
When was your latest renovation?
Our guestrooms were renovated in 2017. Our full renovation was completed in June 2017. We were happy to expand our outdoor activities in 2019 with the addition of a bocce ball court and fire tables.
Do you have suites?
We have one Family Suite. Our spacious Suite sleeps up to 5 guests. This large room also offers comfortable seating, easy ground floor access and a selection of games to entertain the kids!
Do rooms have refrigerator?
All of our rooms are equipped with refrigerators and microwaves.
Do you offer minibar?
We do not have in-room minibars. For snacks and beverages, we have vending machines located throughout the property.
Do I have to pay for parking?
Parking is complimentary for our guests

What are the best things to do in Sonoma County?
The Sandman, with a central location just off Highway 101, is the perfect launching point from which to explore everything Northern California has to offer. Although known primarily for its wine region and outdoor recreation, Sonoma County has plenty of other things to do, and some great places to explore with the kids!
Boasting over 400 acres and home to 900 animals, Safari West is the premier African safari in Northern California. Get up close and personal with the wildlife on an African-style safari tour of the grounds, where you’ll meet giraffes, wildebeests, gazelles, and much more! Best of all, the fun is just minutes from the Sandman, making ours one of the best value hotels near Safari West!
Museums of Sonoma County
See the diverse international and regional art scene or explore history at one the many museums of Sonoma County. The Art Museum and History Museum, are located together within a stunning Sculpture Garden with rotating outdoor installations. Children and adults will enjoy the Charles M. Schulz Museum and The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County will jump start creativity and curiosity.
Railroad Square Historic District
Once a vital agricultural hub and trade intersection, Railroad Square has been restored to its former glory. As one of the main outdoor shopping, entertainment, and dining destinations, Railroad Square is a must-visit. Spend the afternoon browsing the shops lining the square, attend an event, or just appreciate the architectural artistry of the century-old square.
Luther Burbank Gardens
Luther Burbank Gardens is where the world-renowned horticulturist, Luther Burbank, lived and experimented with plants for most of his 50-year career. This Registered National, State & City Historic Landmark is a unique urban garden located at the corner of Santa Rosa and Sonoma Avenues in Santa Rosa, California.
